Madrid Reflections: Madrid, Spain

Although we only spent 2 full days and 3 nights in Madrid, it was a spectacular time and I know we only scratched the surface of what this fabulous city has to offer.  That being said, here are some reflections of our time spent here.  This is certainly a vibrant city, a city that really comes alive in the evenings as each night out our third floor apartment we could hear the local restaurants/bars come alive, mostly from midnight to about 5 am, and I mean right out our window!  Luckily we were on the Ambien routine to acclimate to the new time schedule.  Nancy and I being morning people rather than night owls, 2 nights was enough for us — we truly enjoyed the experience but now being in quieter Alicante suits us much better….hmmm, we’re old but the experience well worth it!  We enjoyed the Plazas we visited and all the food fare in particular, and we never felt unsafe as we walked many main and side streets at times having no idea if we were headed in the right direction.  Watch our self produced video and music recapping our time spent in this lively and colorful city!
